License
The animations, code and design on this site are © Scott Weiner. All rights reserved, except as described below. Licensees and commission clients get a license to use the work; the copyright always stays with me.
Visitors
You’re welcome to watch the pieces here and to share links or screenshots, as long as you credit me and link back to this site.
Please don’t download, re-host or record the pieces for reuse, and don’t copy the code, without my permission.
Licensing a piece
Any piece in the gallery can be licensed to display in your business: on lobby and waiting-room screens, in a storefront window, on signage, or on your website. A display license covers one location or one site; the price depends on how many, and on whether you want it exclusive in your area.
That covers showing the piece live from this site, or from a copy I set up for you. It doesn’t include redistributing, re-hosting, recording or selling it, or modifying the code. Get in touch to license one.
Commission clients
I always keep the copyright to every piece I make, including commissions and their code. When you commission a piece, what you’re buying is a license to use it, not ownership of the work itself.
That license can be exclusive or non-exclusive, and the price depends on which you choose:
- Exclusive: the piece is yours alone to use. I won’t sell or license it to anyone else.
- Non-exclusive: you can use the piece, and I may also offer it to others, for example in the gallery.
The exact terms are set out in each commission agreement. If you supply the source image, it stays yours.
Source images
Every piece starts from a still image. Each piece’s card and page say where that image came from: either AI-generated, made with the open-weights image models below, run on my own hardware, and then worked over by hand, or a licensed photograph or painting, credited to its maker with the licence it’s used under. The models and licences behind an image are part of what a display or commission license is built on.
The models used for the generated images on this site:
- Z-Image Turbo by Tongyi-MAI (Alibaba) — Apache 2.0
No warranty
This site and everything on it are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. I can’t guarantee that the site, or any particular piece, will always be available: pieces may be changed or removed, and the site may go down or change without notice.
To the extent the law allows, I’m not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or the pieces, including when they’re shown in a business or at an event.
Something else?
If you’d like to use a piece in a way that isn’t covered here, get in touch and we’ll work something out.
